These are some photos that I took on Saturday September 8, 2012 in Algoma. This was the evening before the Door County Century bike ride and I was staying at a small motel in Algoma because I had waited too long to make a reservation at a more convenient motel in Door County. Actually, it was not too bad – it was much cheaper to stay in Algoma and I was only about a half hour’s drive from the Door County fairgrounds where the bike ride began and ended.

So after dealing with all the details in Sturgeon Bay on Saturday, I was back in Algoma in the evening to have dinner and walk on the beach and the breakwater.

I took these photos on September 9, 2013 as I was driving home from the Door County Century bike ride on the previous day. I took Highway 42 south along Lake Michigan as far as Manitowoc. So I had a chance to see something of Kewaunee County. I stopped in the city of Kewaunee to take these pictures of the courthouse. Unfortunately it was an overcast Monday morning, so there was not a particularly good view of Lake Michigan from the courthouse.
