I visited Antigo on Monday September 10, 2018 on my way home from the Door County Century bike ride. It was the first of two counties that I visited on this day. It had been many years since I last visited Antigo; the business district seemed somewhat familiar but I have no memories at all of the Langlade County courthouse.
As I visited the courthouse my camera failed; most likely the sensor had had enough, and every shot came out over exposed. This is why I have only a few photos of the courthouse. I was trying to debug the camera issue and failed – it was a hardware failure after all. Thankfully I was able to take a few photos with my phone.
- The courthouse grounds are very nice
- The Vietnam Veterans memorial in front of the courthouse
- The Veterans Memorial near the main entrance
- It’s a beautiful building and has been well maintained.
- A Langlade County man was one of those who raised the flag on Iwo Jima
- The back of the courthouse with the odd looking addition
- The sheriff’s office in the Safety Building addition
