I visited The Highground Veterans Memorial Park just outside of Neillsville on Monday April 17, 2017. It’s a beautiful place with many monuments and memorials to those who have served our country in the armed forces.
- The Nurse pays tribute to the women who served
- “Fragments” is the Wisconsin Vietnam Tribute
- The Wisconsin Persian Gulf Tribute is fairly new
- The Gold Star is a living tribute to the families of those who served. It was too early in the season for the plants to be uncovered.
- The flag pole is pretty much in the center of the park
- Beautiful views of the surrounding area. There are hiking trails below.
- The Korean Tribute
- The National Native American Vietnam Veterans Memorial
- The World War II Globe
- The Meditation Gardens
- The Liberty Bell
- This is an exact replica of the the Liberty Bell
- The Military Working Dog Tribute was under construction when I visited
- The Doughboy is the World War I tribute
- The Wisconsin Persian Gulf Tribute
