• St Paul’s Lutheran Church (WELS) in Hurley. This is the church that my grandparents attended. I remember going to church with them when I was younger; they moved to Ohio in 1972. My parents were married at St Paul’s and I was baptized here. St Paul’s is one of three churches in the Northwoods Tri-Parish.
• The Town of Mercer web site. Mercer is the “Loon Capital of the World,” or at least that’s their claim.
